On the hunt for a broadband plan with unlimited data, awesome speed, and great value? iiNet offers a variety of NBN, ADSL2+ and Naked DSL plans, with bundles available to suit every household budget and need.
With prices starting from $59.99 per month for fixed line service (and from $39.99 for satellite NBN), iiNet offers a variety of speed and data options, including unlimited data on all fixed line plans. If you're after an NBN connection, you can select from Basic (NBN 12) Turbo (NBN 50) , or Max (NBN 100) speed plans, and you're also able to switch between speeds each month until you find the right fit for your household.
If you're signing on for iiNet broadband, your plan may also include unlimited calls to Australian landlines, or both landlines and mobiles. All base iiNet NBN and broadband plans feature pay-as-you-go calling, and customers can also add an international call pack for $10 per month, featuring unlimited calls to landlines in 20 countries.
Customers also have the option of adding aFetch TV Premium Bundle to their plan, which - for $0 per month on a 24-month broadband plan, and $5 per month without a contract - includes a set top box, 30 movies each month, and access to streaming services such as Netflix and Stan.
Several TV packs are available to add to your Fetch service from $6 per month, including kid-friendly TV, news and documentaries, variety, sports and international packages.
Sign up with iiNet NBN, and you can pick between three speed tiers: Basic (NBN 12/Basic Evening Speed), Boost (NBN 25/ Standard Evening Speed), Turbo (NBN 50/Standard Evening Plus Speed), or Max (NBN 100/ Premium Evening Speed). More info about NBN's speed options is available here, but if you're a heavy user or have multiple household members, you'll probably prefer Turbo speeds or above.
If you're searching for a good deal on an NBN plan, iiNet's fixed-line options range from basic speeds and 500GB of data (priced at $59.99 per month), to the best-of-the-best Fibre MAX Limitless plan ($119.99 per month for unlimited data at premium speeds).
Almost all iiNet fixed-line NBN plans include unlimited data, with the exception of the above 500GB Basic plan. All Basic plans include pay-as-you-go calls, with unlimited local and standard national calls available to add-on to faster plans (see our iiNet FAQ below for more info).
The type of NBN technology you'll be offered on your NBN plan depends on your location, but iiNet does carry NBN Satellite plans for customers in rural areas who may not be able to access fixed-line or wireless broadband. Satellite plans start at $39.99 per month for 150GB of data at Basic, and go up to $64.99 monthly for 250GB with Boost speeds of up to 25Mbps (NBN 25/ Standard Evening Speed).
Wireless NBN service is also available from iiNet, with both 500GB and unlimited data options. iiNet's cheapest wireless plan is priced at $59.99 per month for Basic speeds and 500GB of data, while its most expensive option will cost you $89.99 monthly for unlimited gigabytes and boosted speeds.
If the NBN hasn't made its way to your area yet, you can instead sign up for iiNet's Naked DSL or ADSL+ plans where available - more info on how these plans differ from the NBN is available here.
Monthly pricing begins at $59.99 for 500GB of data on both ADSL2+ and Naked connections. If you're after unlimited data, pricing starts at $69.99 for Naked DSL, and $79.99 per month for ADSL2+.
To find out if you're eligible for an iiNet NBN plan, first check your address in our broadband search engine. If your home is covered by iiNet, all available plans will be listed in the search results.
Decide on the right plan for you, then contact iiNet either online or via phone. iiNet will help you to organise an installation date and time, plus take care of transferring any current broadband plan you may have over to their own NBN service.
If you already have an NBN connection with another provider, that's no problem - simply follow the same steps as above, by contacting iiNet and arranging a service transfer.
Another important thing to note: while installation is free for most customers (excluding the upfront costs you'll pay on a month-to-month plan), if you're located in a newly developed area with no existing telecommunications infrastructure, you may be charged a $300 New Development Fee by NBN Co.
How fast are iiNet's NBN plans?
iiNet sells plans configured on all four NBN speed tiers: Basic Evening Speed (NBN 12), Standard Evening Speed (NBN 25), Standard Plus Evening Speed (NBN 50), and Premium Evening Speed (NBN 100).You can find more information on NBN speeds here.
What are my data options?
Most of iiNet's fixed line and wireless NBN plans come with unlimited data, although you can also sign on for 500GB at some speeds. Satellite NBN comes with a 250GB monthly data limit.
Unlimited data is available on iiNet's ADSL2+ and Naked DSL plans, but there are also 500GB and 100GB plan options for customers with smaller data needs.
Do I need to buy a new modem to sign up to iiNet?
If you already have a NBN-ready modem or router that is suitable for your technology type, you may be able to use it with your iiNet plan; however, some NBN services require a new modem.
Contract customers will receive this ready-to-go modem free at installation, but if you're on a month-to-month plan, you'll need to pay $89 upfront.
What happens if I want to cancel my iiNet NBN plan?
If you're on a no-contract iiNet plan, you're free to cancel or switch at any time without penalty. If you've signed up on a 24-month deal, you're still able to switch plans whenever needed, but you'll incur a $29 plan change fee if you jump to a cheaper plan.
If you want to break your two-year contract, you'll need to pay a fee of $100 to $300, with the exact cost depending on how much time you have left in your agreement. The earlier you cancel your plan, the more you'll have to pay iiNet to leave.
Do I own my Fetch TV set-top box?
If you decide to add Fetch to your plan, you'll pay a setup fee of $59.99, which includes the cost of the box itself. So even if you do cancel your service, your Fetch mini is yours to keep.
Do iiNet internet plans include calls?
iiNet's NBN plans include a phone line at no extra cost. Depending on your tier of plan, you'll either get pay-as-you-go calling, included local and standard national landline calls, or included standard Australian landline and mobile calls.
If you're looking to make calls to friends and family overseas, you can add an International Call Pack for $10 per month. This pack gives you unlimited calls in landlines in 20 countries, including the UK, the US, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Canada, and Japan.
